Not the average serial killer story
A young man with a genius IQ teams up with an established serial killer who calls himself "Cryptic" as they taunt the law while killing.
Can a serial killer also like anyone?
An established serial killer still has family values. He even has a favorite young daughter, but he is also capable of killing them.
"A story that includes love, family, some heavy historical events, a hint of the Supernatural, death, and murder, and some good old solid human emotions."
While one killer is familiar with using a Ouija board to contact evil spirits, the other associated with some well-known killers. This story has family values mixed with murder.
Cryptic Serial Killers with smarts eBook Conrad Luznar
Did not want to stop reading this compelling, chilling story of a serial killer who murdered people for over 40 years and was never caught. Gus Harrison started off as a teenager killing his cousin for revenge. He liked it so much, he killed people when he went on vacations with his parents. They had no clue.Gus chose random people in secluded places, like a lone person on a beach or fishing. He would just walk up to them and shoot them. Since there was no pattern in the victims or locations that law enforcement could discern, each killing was treated as an isolated event. But Gus got bored. It was too easy and he wanted the police to recognize him as a serial killer, so he started leaving a calling card, a "C" with a line through it. He called himself, Cryptic. He began sending coded messages to the cops claiming if they could decipher them, they could identify him.
A mutual friend introduced Gus to Gage Pann, a man with no scruples and a genius IQ who shared Gus's interest in cyphers. Together they crafted Gus's messages.
Gus was not a one-dimensional person. He adopted a Mexican woman and her 4 children and took good care of them. He was especially close to the youngest, Deb, who he took on many trips with him. He was so easy going, no one ever suspected.
The author does a superb job of weaving his story. The parts involving Gus's relationship with Deb are very touching and nicely balance out the killings. When Gus dies of lung cancer, Gage picks up the mantle.
One detective pursues the case relentlessly and eventually identifies Gage as Cryptic, but now what? Thus far, Cryptic has not left behind any evidence to convict him. Not spoiling the story.

Cryptic Serial Killers with smarts eBook Conrad Luznar Reviews
Great work by an author I had the privilege to meet personally before his passing . He was An avid writer and spoke passionately about this piece of work in particular . A must read
Conrad Luznar has written an absolutely enthralling murder mystery/thriller. The characters are so believable as is the storyline. There is a part where the story jumps forward and I thought Conrad Luznar was trying to end the story but no! He was adding more depth to it. Definitely not a killer to be trifled with.
